Intermediate Reliability Engineer
This is a 1-year opportunity, at our Client’s site in Calgary, with the potential for an extension based on client and / or project requirements. Successful candidate is a motivated self-starter and team contributor with 8+ years’ experience within and EPCM / vendor / industrial plant environment and the following demonstrated experience:
- Managing new, and changes to, existing models through a defined Model Governance MOC workflow
- Define model requirements (i.e. Engineering Equation & Statistical Analysis)
- Define data requirements to support model (i.e. Required Tags)
- Map tags to assets from multiple data sources including P&IDs, PI tags, etc.
- Identify critical gaps in required tags
- Identify opportunities to address gaps in Tag List (i.e. additional tag sources or engineering calc)
- Model Tuning / Validation (add calcs., data filters, noise reduction, asset specific limits, etc.)
- Support third party contractors in the specification, development and testing of advanced analytics solutions

- Engage and facilitate delivery of technical content from corporate and site-based SMEs
- Experience and familiarity with Suncor’s business processes
- Technical Competencies
- High proficiency with MS Office suite of products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- Experience with analytical models such as PRiSM/ MTell/ SmartSignal considered an asset
- Experience with Meridium APM Framework considered an asset
- Preparation of key deliverables (P&IDs, CWPs, MRs, scoping studies) and ensure conformance to established standards throughout project stages
- Experience with a variety of static and rotating equipment design an asset
Required- 4-year degree in engineering from an accredited university
- Registration with the provincial engineering body and an engineering stamp
