Junior Project Assistant

Our Project Assistants are part of a highly engaged team who provide exemplary project support. Our team is growing, and we are seeking a results-oriented self-starter and team contributor with 2+ years’ progressive administrative experience within an Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management environment. Consideration will also be given to candidates who have recently completed a certificate or diploma in a recognized business or administration program.

Major Role Accountabilities
  • Accurately review, edit, and format documents per Client / Company standards including:
    • scope of work
    • project procedures
    • material requisitions
    • RFI / KDR log, punch list, DBM, EDS, etc.
    • status, technical and monthly progress reports
  • Per established standards:
    • issue project documents
    • coordinate and assist with project close-out activities
    • manage native files (e.g. contact lists, job instructions, close-out) and project communication (ensure non-technical documentation is retained and accurately filed)
  • Assist in coordinating site orientations and authorizations per HSE standards and procedures
  • Schedule and attend meetings, prepare agendas, distribute minutes / action logs, and follow up on action items
  • Other work as directed

  • Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and expertise in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Proficiency managing shifting priorities in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal (verbal / written) skills coupled with a collaborative working style for building relationships
  • Demonstrated experience supporting various project positions (project manager / engineer, engineering disciplines)


Required
  • Diploma or certificate from a recognized business program or equivalent combination of education / experience
  • Excellent time management skills (punctual and reliable) and attention to details
