Project Overview

Due to high water table and freeze-thaw conditions, it had resulted in ground movement at the Client’s distribution terminal. The site had experienced chronic issues with frost heaving which has caused movement of various support structures throughout the Site. Ongoing monitoring has been completed to determine the scope of movement which can be up to multiple inches per year. The site had identified critical equipment supports and piping that are being impacted by frost heaved grounds causing undue stress on the systems.

Scope of Work

The scope of work was to conduct an investigation of the Client’s ammonia system and identify critical issues to be remediated. The owner required subsequent engineering solutions for the issues, and ultimately fabrication / construction of the engineered solutions.

Deliverables

Rally provided an inspection report of the Client’s terminal. The report identified concerns and operational risks with recommendations for correction of identified deficiencies.
Rally completed the EDS and Detailed Engineering for the identified efficiencies.
Construction support was initiated and included civil / structural, piping, and mechanical for the duration of construction.
