Project Overview

Rally’s client decided to move forward with an aggressive brown field construction project, with the objective of replacing the facility’s aging digester from a batch to a continuous system. At the onset, Rally provided construction management support for the installation of all process piping. As the project progressed, Rally also assumed the responsibility of construction management for the various chip screens and conveyors to be installed at the front end of the new Continuous Digester.

Addition to Construction

In addition to construction management, Rally provided on-going field engineering support as required to resolve unexpected issues and design oversights. Assistance prior to and during the commissioning phase was also provided to ensure a successful start-up. Support was also provided post start-up to as-build all new P&IDs to ensure all FCNs were captured on record drawings.

Continuous Digester

The new Continuous Digester was commissioned and on-line on schedule. It is a key step in the mill’s overall objective of a complete debottlenecking exercise and increased daily pulp production to 1500 BDT.
