The Client has the capacity to store diluent in tanks for approximately 72 hours before refinery operations are affected. To mitigate the concern, 80% of the piping was routed so that it could be installed while the pump was in operation. A 24-hr pump outage was taken to make the final tie ins.
Rally worked closely with Client operations and maintenance teams to get alignment on the execution plan. Rally established an aggressive schedule for the engineering of the construction work package.
Rally participated in the pre-start-up safety review (PSSR), which included reviewing the physical installation of the piping, ensuring that it was installed per the engineered drawings.
